Happy Birthday, Sachin!(Not the God)
25! Celebrating silver jubilee of life.
No no, not me. This man, Mr. Sachin R. Patel , the epitome of style and swag. :D
It’s been 6 years since we first met in the Physics Lab. From V.P.Science to CHARUSAT via Department of Physics. I am writing this kind of words for the first time for him. At present I have no idea what I will write below, but let’s see. You just feel proud, hne?
So we are so much together, that people sometimes confuses Saurabh with Sachin and vice versa. Yes yes, we are like Sachin-Jigar, Abbas-Mastan or Motu-Patlu etc etc. For Rucha, Karan-Arjun! I sometimes afraid, he will do some kand and people will say Saurabh has done it. He is way opposite than me when we talk about social skills. I am socially awkward at the minus infinity, he is comfortable with anyone at the plus infinity. I am introvert, he is at a peak of extrovertism. I take time to be comfortable with people, he just go on fire. I tried to develop this amazing skill, but mujse na ho payega. Never comes on time, his 5 minutes is equals to our half an hour. He sometimes embarrass us to the hell in public by doing weird stuff. But on the other hand, he create memories, moments to remember for lifetime. I now realize that. Keep doing silly things.:D As Ronak used to say, "Badhaa kand no mukhya sutradhar, Mr. Sachin Patel."
So many differences, but we also share so many similar interests. We have same affiliation.:p Hardcore fan of f.r.i.e.n.d.s and Breaking Bad. We love same shows same movies. Just stop listening to Garba when travelling. Ph.D in Gangs of Wasseypur (Ramadhir singh, he loves you). We share same passion, goals are more or less same. Both are struggling in Ph.D. I have home away from my home because of him. I can behave with his mom as I behave with my mom. Thank you for always greeting warmly, thank you for great homemade food. He has the coolest dad. Ramesh Patel, if you are reading this, I want to tell you that, “To go to the railway station and eat samosas on a group day was not his idea.” He mix odd things while eating. I used to say, koi diwas aau vichitra mix karvama jto revano chhe. I hope this does not happen. Prachi, after marriage if you don’t feel like cooking, don’t worry, he can eat watermelon and rotis together. He can mix any available thing with anything, trust me. He has a habit of doing things in unusual way. He don;t like the simple things, always wants to be creative with things. Normal people will buy a gift wrap to pack a gift, he will give you gift in khakee cover or newspaper or aluminium foil as a extreme level of creativity.
I know, I might not that helpful to you in return as you always helped me in everything. This guy has always some person in contact to do the things. He knows more fascinating people than I know people. It is beacuse of him I met two wonderful human beings in the CHARUSAT, Rucha and Mira. They always feel proud of me when I achieve something. He can make friend with anyone, from guard to owner of company. You are blessings. A great company to have and all the cliché lines you can imagine.
Tom Rath in his book Vital Friends: The People You Can’t Afford to Live Without wrote that, there are 8 types of “vital friends.”
1) The Builder , 2) The Champion, 3) The Collaborator, 4) The Companion, 5) The Connector, 6) The Energizer, 7) The Mind Opener and 8) The Navigator.
You are the Champion, the collaborator, the companion, the connector, the energizer and navigator. So I got 6 friend’s quality in one friend and that is why my circle is so small, you know.
Bro, Happy Birthday. Keep rocking. Your family loves you, Sachin Sir, your students loves you and O Bhaai, we the friends loves you a lot. Keep making memories, keep spreading joy.
I know you will achieve great things in life, once you become sincere. Muje pata hai, ye bandaa jaroor kuchh karega.
